Consult scheduled!

Hey everyone I wanted to share some news with you all. I have a plastic surgery consult scheduled for May 7th at the UVA. I am excited, but nervous and a little skeptical as far as getting insurance to cover it. We will see how it goes. Hope everyone is doing well Hugs Judy B

Hey JUdy, Who is your consult with..i have one on April 19th with Dr. Drake..im in the same boat..not sure if insurance will cover it..have you filled out a financial screening with UVA yet...

HI Randy My consult is with Dr. Gampper. I didn't know anything and wasn't told anything about a financial screening. the lady who i talked with wanted to know who told me that my mediaid would definitely not cover it. I told her who and she said they had patients who had medicaid who were approved. So, we will see. JudyB

I have my consult at UVA on April 23rd. I too am skeptical about getting insurance to cover it. I guess all we can do is show up and pray for the best. Good luck! cathy

Hi Cathy Congrats to you also for your upcoming consult. After Randy's post about the financial screening, I decided to give them a call. The lady I spoke to asked me some questions about our income and assets (which i have no assets) and then told me I am eligible for financial assistance, she is sending me the application to fill out. So, maybe that will be a good start if my insurance doesn't cover it. We will wait and see. Good luck on your consult Cathy, and keep me posted on how it goes for ya. JudyB
