No Surgery for me.
Well it seems i have a staph infection from that boil on my mons pubis! My plastic surgeon called me this afternoon to give me the bad news. He is rescheduling my surgery for the week of the 18th...it will either be the 19th, 21st, or 22nd of June, depending on when the OR will be available. His words, "I know you are dissappointed, but you told me you have confidence in me, I hope you know that my cautiousness as your surgeon will help you have more confidence in me that I want what is in your best interest." I do know it is in my best interest, but I was ready darn it all! Oh well, at least one thing will come out of my wait, it will give me time to help my hubby get used to using his cpap machine he has to start using tonight. He has severe sleep apnea! I knew he did, but it the doctor who seen him two years ago convinced us that he only had a narrow nasal passage and she didn't see the need for a sleep study. It has taken me two years to have his doc switched and to convince the new doctor he needed a sleep study! But now , he is getting treatment and that is what matters now.

I am sorry that you have to put your surgery off for a few days. Everything is for a reason... and I believe that this minor set back is for a reason. The 19th of June will be here before you know it!

Sorry Judy for the postponment, but better safe than sorry kiddo. A staph infection isnt something to play around with. So be thankful it was found. And Im glad you pushed the sleep study for your hubby. Thats how my body got the carbon dexozide poisoning because I had a Dr *****fused to believe I had sleep apnea and I almost died from it. So Im glad your hubby has the machie I use mine every night I hope to be able to get rid of mine one day but not sure I will I have the breeze (head gear) i like it better than any of them. Wish him luck if I can be of any help let me know.

Aawww.....I am SO sorry to hear this. I know that you were really looking forward to getthing this done right away.
BUT.....it sounds like you have an AWESOME doctor - so that will make the the wait worthwhile.
