Initial Consult - Completed!

My initial consult with Dr. Schirmer was today and went great.  Saw Karen and her DH there too - yeah Karen we did it!  He said I was an excellent candidate for the surgery and if the psych eval and approvals go as planned then I was looking at a surgery date somewhere in the neighborhood of the first part of September.  So happy it is becoming a reality.  All of the staff there were AWESOME.  For anyone who has Southern Health, Mike (the insurance man) said that they have now changed the criteria for approval to only 3 months of a medically supervised diet opposed to the original six months.  :)  talk to you all soon.

yep we sure did it!!! Sorry we didn't get a chance to talk more, the waiting room was sooooooo busy hardly enough chairs for everyone so just kinda had to pick a corner lol I agree with you, everyone at that office is amazing, I didn't meet one grumpy person all of them seemed very willing to help. Now just have to finish my supervised diet and pysch test and hopefully Cigna will play nice and behave lol. Seeya around

You go girls!!!!   Good luck with insurance. I had (have) Cigna and I was blown away at how easy it was for me to be approved. I did not except it at all. So maybe you two will have the same luck... Later! Cathy
