New Here
WELCOME!!!!
You will find a GREAT group of ladies and gents here on the board, so feel free to jump in at any time. No question is a stupid question. We are all in the same boat, and here to support one another.
Soldier's wife, huh? Are you in the Tidewater area? Where are you having your surgery? What stage of the process are you in?
WELCOME!!!!

Good am Brandi,
WELCOME! We are happy to have you here. You will find a wide variety of folks here with lots of supportive, encouraging information. Please take some time to let us know a bit about yourself. We look forward to seeing you around more often.

Hi Brandy and welcome, I'm Missy and I am having my surgery at PNH sometime late this summer, I have my pre op appt next Friday and i'm so freaking excited i can't contain myself.... This board has a wonderful group of people with alot of helpful advice!!! Welcome aboard... Where are is your hubby stationed at? We are at Langley...
Hi Brandi,
Wow, you look familiar! Read my profile when you have a chance....I don't get on the board much because it is so interesting and fascinating that I will sit here for hours not moving....which is what I need to keep doing. But when I got on the list at NMCP, I was here a lot in preparation for my surgery. The wealth of support you'll get from the lovely and dedicated people who continually share on this board will be invaluable to you as you go along. Dr. Chastanet and Dr. Mann were my surgeons a year ago yesterday. I waited from October 04 to June of 06. I sincerely hope your wait will not be as long but try to look at it this way: use this time to get as healthy as you can prior to surgery, try your proteins, start making the shift to the new lifestyle one change at a time, learn all you can about your procedure and if you are able, start walking. It will be very good if you could take off 20 or 30 lbs before the surgery. If you have any questions just ask.

Thanks so much for the tip's. My weight shouldnt be anywhere as long as yours was, thankfully. Im sorry you had to wait that long but at least you sound as if you made the most of your time and honestly I think Im going to strive to do the same as well. Im number 620ish ( not giving that info out ) and they are in the 530's right now. My estimated is somewhere around Dec or Jan. Cant wait to chat some more :)
