This my be stupid but has anyone tried a little wine since surgery? We are having a big party tomorrow and i am wondering if a few sips will be really bad. I am not much of a drinker , never have been, but for tomorrow it would be nice but if it is a huge no no then oh well..

Good pm! My surgeon's office/surgeon tell their patients not to consume any type of alcohol especially until at least 1 year post op from surgery. After that time consumption of alcohol should be done in extreme moderation. This is something that you should discuss with your surgeon. Even in small amounts until 1 year post op is strongly ill advised.  Here is a link to an article that is factual and a great resource regarding this subject. My surgeon pretty much said no, definitely not early out.  It affects us alot differently than before surgery & it is waisted calories.  But you have to make the decision for yourself.  I didn't try anything with alcohol  until I was 9 or 10 months out and even now I very rarely drink anything alcohol.
