Needed Help here
Ok after emailing back and forth w/ Natalie yesterday and doing alot of thinking, I have really got down on myself here about the PROTEIN everyone knows Ive always had issues w/ this had a low toloerence to taste and wasnt able to keep down, so I have been doing my thing getting protein in other ways. Well I have come to the conclusion Im in real trouble I think. I know Im not getting the recommened dosage I was told 60-80 grams a day in the begining then I was told 60 there have been different figures. Well I said to the b/f I think Ive exhausted all the gastric bypass has let me use as loosing weight. I have become very depressed because my weighloss has not moved now going on almost 6 months. I dont like putting this on here because I dont want peopl to get discouraged, because I have to in the other since say darn it Melinda if you NEVER loose another pound your alive today thansk to this TOOL and I have shed 170 pounds off I didnt start at 250 like most or 300 I was 410 pounds and I cant keep saying this to myself because ITS not working. I want to loose another 50 pounds and I want it to go like yesterday but I know it wont. Im not a diabetic anymore thanks to my weightloss I have came off alot of medicines since surgery. But in turn I have the back issues and Tues. I was sent away from the pain clinic back to my PCP and told you come back when the pain is unbearable (basically) They want me to do the shots, (I dont want them) I have heard nothing good from them. I feel myself slipping into depression again I said when I was removed from the antidepressants I never wanted to go back. But Im starting to wonder. So as you can see Im babbeling here and Im asking for whatever help w/ this protein you can give me. Natalie has made some suggestions, Im considering but Im dont want to purchase alot and it be waited as it was in the begining . Ive tried getting it in (protein) w/ foods but hey unless I eat pure meat everyday I just cant do it. And to Mo I interduced Diet Soda back into my diet after a yr, but I have also got rid of it as well the only time I do the soda is fountain and its in alot of ice. So I feel Im pushing water more so now than ever. But Im not loosing. I have also consider another surgery and I know this might not be good for me but I want the weight gone. Though those reading please know I am SO MUCH better today than I was in 2005 (then I almost died) Today I am doing some of the old things I used to do but I want to do more. I wanna wear a large not 2x 1x . Sorry for the long post. Please be kind : )

Whew, take a deep breathe now, do you feel better after getting all of that off of your chest. Protein suggestions? Unflavored protein in crystal light, fruit smoothies with protein, milk/water & fruit, Isopure dutch chocolate (my fav), New Whey vial shots, unflavored protein in oatmeal, cottage cheese, yogurt, etc. for breakfast. I am so very proud of your determination. I know you can do it.
Thanks Courtney I do yogurt twice a day I try fruit, I dont do oatmeal Im just not a breakfast person but I try, I have found a cherry lemonade you add to water from walmart, so what your saying is add the unflavored protein to that? (never thought of that)...

Sweety , You have no exhausted your surgery . Getting another one will not fix things . If you have RNY your pouch is still there ... it is merely getting back to basics .. using what we all know to be the right way to use the tool .
PROTEIN +WATER+EXERCISE = WEIGHTLOSS
You also need to look at the foods you are eating now .
How much are protein ? How much are carbs -- good and bad .
What is your water intake .. ?
Melinda , I promise you .. if you just get your protein up , get in your water .. and get out and exercise .. you do not need to be a runner , or gym rat . You can do exercise right in your living room .. no equipment needed ... if you want a quick run down .. when we meet Saturday I will give you some routines to use .. I know you have a bad back , But there are things you can do to get that motabolism up and running .
First you must not give up on your tool . Second .. have faith in what and who you are . Keep telling yourself that it is ALL ABOUT YOU ... and make each day yours and about your goals .. once you reach your goal ... you move on to another .

I did forget Natalie to add I do exercise I have a bike I ride 30 mins twice a day its about all I can stand to sit on it. I also do the walking in place to music for 15 mins every other day. So I am moving. I was doing Pt twice a week hour and a half but there pulling that from me to on the 5th because they see no improvments, so I am trying.

That is awesome . The only other thing I would suggest is to up the time you do the walling in place . I would do it until you feel your heart rate get up .. then you can slow down .. and then go back to faster pace ... getting the heart rate up ensures that the blood is fllowing and that the motab is taking off ..
Sometimes changing up your routine will jumpstart weight loss as well .
I hope you do not feel I was hard on you .. I for one know how hard you are trying .

Well you know I can't give you any advice on the protien situation since I am still pre op, but at the next support meeting maybe ask Mary the nut and see if she can give you some ideas. We gave you some at the last one, but you said you really didn't like the taste of some of them. So hang in there girlie and post when you need to get it out, there are plenty of people here that will help ya.

You are so hard on yourself. You have a lot to be proud. You have accomplished much! I am having trouble getting in my protein everyday. On a really good day, I get in about 40g. I know that I need about 60-80 grams. I dont have an excuse!!! I love the protein bars and drinks. I am just plain LAZY when it come to the correct foods that I need to eat. I find myself eating all the wrong things. (peanut butter crackers, peanuts, a bite of pop tart here and a bite of a waffle there... you get the picture)
Do you like beef jerkey? I found a really good chicken jerky at Target.
