OH is being a butt and won't let me embed the pics. This recipe can be made healthier by making a different crust. It might not work for all people, especially depending on where you are post-op. Try at your own risk! Hehehe. Everyone is different. You'll need the following: Peaches, Apples, Splenda, Cornstarch, Vanilla Wafers, I Can't Believe Its Not Butter, and Chopped Walnuts. 1.  Peel 3 apples (I used Fuji) and drain one 16oz can of Lite Peaches. Combined them into one bowl. 2.  Combined 2 teaspoons of cornstarch with 1/2 cup of Splenda/Sugar. I used a bit more Splenda to give it a sweeter taste. Toss these ingredients with the fruit. 3.  Get a large freezer bag and fill it with 40 vanilla wafers. [You can buy premade graham cracker crumbs, etc. that works as well]. I take a meat tenderizer and mash them into chunks and then use my rolling pin to crush them even smaller. At the same time, take 3 Tablespoons of butter and melt it into a bowl. I crumbs and 3/4 cup of chopped Walnuts (or other nut) to the butter in the bowl and mix it up. 4.  Grease up a 9" square glass pan. [I love my EVOO Pam!] Put the fruit mixture in the bottom and then spread the nut/crumb mixture onto the top and pat it down. 5. Place in oven and bake for 30-40 minutes. The fruit should be bubbling and the top layer should be a golden brown color.  6. Let it cool a few minutes. Scrape some up, put it on your plate and add some vanilla ice cream if you want. They are delicious together!!!
