HELP - MORE PCP DRAMA.... Need Letter Advice
You may want to start with how long you have been battling your weight and how being obesity affects your day to day quality of living and be specific. List how many diets you have tried in the past and name them, (weigh****cher, south beach diet, etc...) and how long were you on them. You need to list all of the health problems you have due to your weight, and dont forget to include mental problem such as anxiety, depression etc. You could add to your letter how surgery will change your life in a positive way. Make it personal, a real person will be reading it and by making it personal it may help.
When I wrote mine, I added every thing that I could think of from the past 30 years of being over weight and I added how being a healthy weight would impact my future and my children's future.
I wish you luck!

I also have to go to a first appointment with a letter.
I dont know how much time you have, but I have a month to do this. Ive been NOT stressing out over it, but as something comes up during my day where my weight comes into play, I write it down, the situation, the difficulty, the way ti makes me feel, and how WLS will change it. I have several notes already and I plan to sit down in a few days and go from those experiences to write my letter. Not to mention the other things others have mentioned. Your mental state, physical state etc etc.
I also have read yalls advice and will use it to write my letter as well, so thanks!
