What a week....for my 9yo
I have a 9yo (and 5 yo) son. He plays football. This past Saturday was his first time starting. During the first play he went down. After a l-o-n-g down, they carried him off the field. He had a leg injury. After a trip to the ER and xrays, it was confirmed his tibia is broken. So we go to the ortho yesterday and he said he was not happy with how the leg looked. He will go friday and be put under to have his leg reset, and put in a cast up to his hip!! My husband and i are supposed to leave for San Diego on monday...my trip is uncertain. My son is out of school until further notice.
Just had to vent a little...he had his nose broekn in june and had to be put under then too...he (an I ) are "over it".
Wow he has had a rough one. It is unfortunate that the little league sports seem to be heading to a very rough style of play. My youngest stepdaughter plays soccer & we have noticed the last couple of games that the other teams are very agressive & rough. What happened to the sense of fun in the game I wonder. Prayers coming your way. :)
Oh, I am so sorry for you and your son. I have a 9 and a 12 yr old and I know that casts are not fun.
Poor little thing. Prayers are coming your way!!!
cathy
