Thank you all!

Thanks to everyone for your thoughts, prayers and well wishes.  I finally heard from Chris very late Sunday night (actually it was Monday morning).  He arrived safely in Kuwait.  I haven't spoken to him but I get a quick email once a day.  Unfortunately today's email said that he probably won't be able to get to a computer so I will probably not hear anything.

Things get a little easier each day but I still miss him tremendously.  I am still upset enough that my eating habits are out of wack.  I am being very careful to make the smartest choices that i can with every little bit i eat.  I know that me getting sick would only make him worry (and chances are it's not like the army would send him home).

Anyway, just wanted to thank everyone and let ya'll know that things are ok!

Christine

Morning Christine - the prayers will continue and I am glad you've heard from him in some manor. I know its tough that he won't be near a computer for a while but keep your faith and hope alive and strong. I hope that you are able to get back on track with your eating and that you find it a little easier moving forward. Know that we are here for you. Hugs.....

Great news Christine! Prayers for his protection as he fights for our freedom. We all mess up sometimes but the issue is to not stay in that slump. Easy behavior for us to fall back into. I struggle from time to time and none of us ever gets perfect at it. Surround yourself with support. I find that I do better with preparation ahead of time to have healthy foods at my fingertips. I know you know these things. Hard to do the right thing when old behavior creeps up and our habits we had for so long creep in. No need for added stress for you during this time. God Bless! Shannon

Glad to know you finally heard from him.  Continued prayers for you both coming your way.  Keep trying with your foods.  Do the best you can.  If you are having more trouble with actually eating then try more protein drinks to make sure you get in what you need.  We are here for you.  I wonder if there is a military board here, maybe that would be a good request if not to get one started for extra support.

Christine,  I am so glad that you heard from Chris. I cant even imagine the unrest you must feel. I will keep you in my prayers.  I too am a stressful eater. I can completely understand how your eating habits would be out of wack. Just keep lots of healthy food choices at hand. Some of the things that I snack on when I feel stressed are peanuts, sunflower seeds, almonds, SF yogurt, beef jerky, SF pudding, soy chips, and my home made peanut butter protein balls... yummo!!! God bless and hugs coming your way! Cath

Good to hear from you, Christine. I'm glad that you got some kind of word from him even if it wasn't that much. I can't imagine what you're going through, well, my first husband was in the Army and went to Afganistan a few times so I know a little about it, but its a terrible feeling none the less. I'm still praying for you all and I hope you can find a way to get your eating on track. Set alarms if you have to!!! I'm always here!
