I am alive....yesterday was horrible, I couldn.t keep anything down and was in horribke pain. I wondered what the heck I did this for, but I knew it would get better. Today I took a shower with hubby's help   and boy is he a lifesaver. Hope you all are doing well and post more soon.

Hi Karen, Glad that you are up and getting around (a wee bit) Take it slow, and rest your body. That is the important thing. Hugs!!! cath

Bless you, Karen. It will get a little bit better every day. I remember my first night home when I couldn't roll over in bed w/o the DW's help. Wondered what I had done. But the next day I was much more mobile. You can do it. Joe Bear

I am sorry you are having such a hard time - I really hope it gets better soon..... this too shall pass and you will soon be on your way. Just remember to do everything your surgeon has told you to do - take tiny sips  and sometimes that has to be lukewarm until your body gets used to it. If you still feel bad tomorrow, you should give your surgeon's office a call and perhaps go and see them just to be sure everything is alright... Jackie

Karen, Glad to hear that you are getting along a little better now.  I am sure the shower made you feel alot better.  Just take it one day at a time and I promise you, you will feel back to normal in about 2 weeks.

It will get better and better and be worth it in the long run. Hang in there.

It will get better.  Just rest up & sip & walk as much as you can tolerate.  I found that sleeping propped up helped so much.  After my gallbladder surgery, I discovered that a body pillow along the body to prop up the tummy was big help.  Hope you feel better soon.

As they all have said this too will pass. We all go for the surgery for the same ending result and thats to have the tool to help us loose the weight, is it aways fun, no andaseveryone has Im sure told you peoples bodys all react differently, get plenty fluids walk as much as you can but rest as much as you can while your not walking. It will be all worth every bit of the pain in the end I promise in a few weeks you wont remember any of this now. Best of luck.
