2 years today

Two years this am I was being rolled back to the operating room for my gastric bypass yes it has been 2 years today is my 2 year anniversary I cant believe it has been that long ago I was 410 pounds, on oxygen 24/7 a diabetic,sleep apnea (which I still use the machine), was in a wheel chair couldnt walk from my house to my car I was ready for deathd door and had been told so. But since then Ive lost  about 180 pounds and Im on the go everyday no longer a diabetic dont use oxygen except w/ my c-pap and I hope to soon be rid of that machine (fingers crossed) but if not Im happy living and breathing on my own and doing great. So to the newbies take it from a survivor  because I feel like one IT IS WORTH IT ALL!!!! Pain all the visits the confussion the diet change everything so make the change. Im thankful everyday I get out of the bed for my oppertunity to have the tool. And meeting lots of great people and this board has alot of them here.  Happy Halloween to you all!!!

Congratulations, Melinda!  Your post is so inspiring particularly since you worked so hard just to get the surgery!  It's really been more than just 2 years, right?  Anyway, what a grat story you have to tell and we're just waiting for the next chapter of your story! Cleo

My story started way back Cleo and girl if I started from the begining Id have a best seller or a heck of a movie but today was  the day I had my Gastric bypass I was a Halloween Baby so to speak : ) Dr Schirmer took me back in that OR and did is handy work on my insides and here I am today. Stay tuned for the next chapters they will be a hoot . Hugsss...

Congrats Melinda!! It doesnt seem that long ago when we were in Schirmer's office gettin out dates. My how time flies. You have come so far. I am proud of you. What a success story and its still in the making. Keep on riding it out. You have been and are doing great!!!!! Shannon
