Cottage Cheese...how do you like it?

i loved it before surgery with strawberries now u can not pay me to eat the stuff
I'm not a hugh fan, often I buy a tub and it goes off in my fridge before I use it. When I use to try to "diet" I would have in in the morning on toast with sliced tomatoes and plenty of salt and pepper. And that I really enjoyed. Guess I will have to try some of these recipes and get use to it now. The lasagne one does sound good (and quick and easy)
I love cottage cheese. My taste never changed after surg. I put chives in my cottage cheese and I love salt. When I did weigh****chers I used cinnimon. I usually get 2% but have gone to 4% lately since I am trying to up my calorie intake. I can only eat 3 to 4 oz (if I over stuff myself) at a time. I have tried different brands and do perfer some over others. Buy the small containers first up till you find the one you like the best.
I buy the Knudsen 2% cottage cheese in the pink container.
I love to:
- put it on sliced tomatoes with a little kosher salt (on the tomatoes)
- put salsa on top of the cottage cheese
- mix in a little bit of chopped avocado
- put some sliced black olives on top
I prefer salty stuff to sweet when it comes to cottage cheese. That's why I don't like the "Cottage Doubles" from Knudsen, although the strawberry one isn't terrible. It has 15 g of sugar.
