new energy drink worth trying
Gotta love the Costco sample tables - I used to graze there, but now I can have a whole meal while shopping! (tee hee!)
Anyway, they had these things called Zipfizz. Little tubes of powder you add to water, there is a small amount of caffeine, about the equivalent of quarter cup of coffee, although it comes from guarana seed not coffee. There are three flavors:pink lemonade, citrus and berry.
Each one is packing 2500mcg of B12 and a whole host of other vitamins etc. 5 calories, 1 carb, no sugar. Easy to pack in a purse, dissolves instantly, tastes like crystal light.
The B12 is the source of the energy punch. Seems to work, I was pretty tired when I went in (hence spending too much), but gave me a nice non-jittery pick-me-up.
The manufacturers do not list a website but a phone number 877.Zip.Fizz - they are in Mill Creek, WA.
Just an FYI: OD'ing on B12 can be detrimental. Too much can cause neuropathy (tingling hands and feet). I'm sure if it does that, it could probably do much more.
B12 can, and should, be monitored on your blood laboratories. If you're not out of range, it's not something that needs to be taken everyday.
Unfortunately, it doesn't just 'flush out' like Vitamin C.
Thanks, Rach, for letting us know about the b-12. I didn't know that and was going a little nutty with my sublingual b-12 and b-complex, wanting to make sure I was getting enough since I will have less intrinsic factor once I am sleeved. Sort of stocking up, if you know what I mean. But, now, I'll be more conservative and rely more on blood tests. Thanks!
Here's a link to a site that has info.

they do have a website www.zipfizz.com but my office blocks it for some reason.
