Uh, yeah. Anyone have some input? Thanks!
So I still don't have this whole thing down yet, but I'm new. ;) I haven't figured out yet how to tell that I'm full. The wierd thing is, after I stop eating (arbitrary decision usually), I get that old sensation of being stuffed...but not for like 15-20 min. I seem to have lost the ability to know when to stop. Does that get better over time? Is there something I'm missing? Tonight for example, I had some unjury chicken soup, but that didn't help the hunger much, so I had a thing of light applesauce. I felt fine until about 20 min later, which is when I felt stuffed. That was 3 hours ago, and I'm still feeling stuffed. I'm thirsty, and feel like I could drink a whole bottle, but I'm afraid to try and drink anything because of how I'm feeling. Any thoughts?
Thanks,
Deanna
It can be hard when you are starting out...especially while on the liquid stage. I just had soup about 3 tablespoons and would stop for a while...then have somemore until I thought I should be full. It is a whole other story once you move to solids...then you will not have any question when you are full.
Deanna, are you absolutely sure you are eating slowly enough and taking very tiny bites? Learning how to recognize the new signals really does take a while. I still don't quite have it down. But it does take about 20 minutes for the signal to reach our brain telling us that we are full. That is why we need to eat very slowly, so we do not become over full before we feel it. Once I get that full feeling, often I can't drink for a while either. You will learn, as I am right now. I did learn, the hard way, not to drink anything with a full tummy. BAD!!!!!!

Hey Dude............I got some input for ya...........infact it is still somthing i do.
Measure my food. 2-3 oz of whatever, in a cute little bowl and eat slowly. Very often if it is heavy protien i wont finish the whole thing. If it is cottage cheese or something thinner then i eat the whole thing and stop.
There are times i get the full feeling later, but i have eaten fast. I don't even realize it until the runny nose, hiccuping starts.
i often remained stuffed for several hours......hang in there it is still a balancing act even after 9 months! :-)
