I used Prilosec OTC - the generic one from Walmart. It worked amazingly well. It was also alot cheaper

I got mine at Target. It also says delayed-release. The cool thing is that it came in a 3-pak. So I don't have to buy it every week any more.

I don't think it is working for me at all though. I missed a day earlier in the week and didn't even notice.

I was trying this and trying that and thinking they made a difference because it was getting better but when I realized I had completely missed a dose and hadn't seen any difference, I started to doubt... I think it's just gettinb better on its own.

I'm scheduled for surgery next week.  I have had GERD for over 10 years that is reasonably controlled with Prilosec.  Should I expect it to get worse after surgery?  Can I take the prilosec capsuls immediately after surgery or will I have to wait a few days/weeks?

I no longer need acid reflux medicine. I'm 4.5 years post-op VSG.

I use generic Prilosec twice a day.  I know if I miss.  The stuff works and is lots less than Prilosec.  They started me on Prilosec in the hospital.

Prilosec. OTC Except usually I took the generic version because I'm a big cheapo!

Different ones work better for different people than others. So try some and see what works for you. It doesn't have to be Nexium.

Um, it depends?

Sorry, but it really depends. Mine is better but I had a hiatal hernia repaired during my surgery.

I took my pills as soon as I got home.
