Howdy all

Well today is the day

4 weeks after my sleeve and its my first check up

Today is the day where i find out whether i am on track or not. Whether its all been worth it.

I know i have been loosing weight and feeling better, but today is the day where i find out how much!!

I have never owned scales, have always had the philosophy that if i felt good, it didnt matter what i weighed. Well for once, im kinda looking forward to jumping on the digital scales and finding out.

As you can probably tell, im a little apprehensive about it all. Been doing all the right things, and exercising lots, but if the weight loss is only small then its gonna really dampen my ego.

Must admit though, that this forum is a real godsend. Found out so much information through here. The support and advise given has always been positive and been a great help.

If there are any aussies out there thinking about the sleeeve and would like to hear about my experiences feel free to contact me.

Also, are there any aussies out there that have had experiences with early release of superannuation and private medical expences?

cheers one and all, and thanks for the support

Aloha and G'day- WOW what terrific self control! I bought a scale after throwing the last one at trhe well.....15 years ago. I weigh myself everyday, I am like an addict. Let us know how things are going! I love your country too- snakes, flies and all- terrific place to be a veterinarian! XOLori

Good luck, can't wait for the update.  A friend of mine used her super for the band, just remember that the catch is that if you take it out for this it will appear as income for the year and will mean more tax.  I just used credit for the out of pockets and have been paying it off religiously each week.  Your surgeon has a really good rap, I am sure you will be doing great.

Are you still on mushies or real food?  The Atkins Advantage Chocolate Decadence protein bars that you can get in coles and woollies are absolutely fantastic and have 16g of protein in them, a perfect snake or meal replacement!
