Well Philadelphians aren't usually allowed to say this out loud, but I don't know anyone at home *****ally likes Ginos or Pats!  LMAO- those are strictly for tourism IMO.  The best steaks are from the little neighborhood pizzerias.  I am a Temple Alum and my sis goes to Drexel- small world huh?  I have no yen for a greasy ol' steak, but real steak meat and cheese (on bread or not) is one of my fave foods...  I hate all things subway.  The only thing I enjoyed from there even pre op was a meatball sub, but the local ones here refuse to sell me the meatballs w/o bread (even though I offer to pay for the bread)...the wastefulness of making me buy bread that I am 100% gonna toss put me off them, lol. I read somewhere once that their tuna is worse than a big mac in terms of cals and fat...not sure if that is accurate, but I know its swimming in mayo, lol...

I am only 4 weeks out but I just discovered that I can not do mushrooms. Well at least the canned ones they put in your eggs at a coney island restaurant. I am guessing they were too rubbery or something and they had to come back up. :( I hope fresh mushrooms can be tolerated because they are my FAVORITE food....

I can eat every single thing I have ever tried. Rice, greasy foods, bread, pasta, it all goes down just fine.

I can't eat eggs by themselves.  It's OK if they are in something else.  I couldn't drink coffee until about a month ego, but now I make a chocolate soy latte every morning.  Keeps things moving if you get my drift.  I have no idea how I will do with things like sugar, flour, rice, potatos, pasta, ice cream or greasy foods.  I have not tried them yet.  At just over six months out I don't want to pu****  I will try them a little at a time sometime in the future.  I hope a hate them all, but I have a hunch that once they come back into my life, I will be able to tolerate them quite well, so I am in no hurry to try.

Any food that expands in the stomach - bread, rice, pasta, potatoes. Extrememly uncomfortable and just not worth it. I decided I wanted a pancake which I haven't had in over a year. Well I had 1/2 of one pancake and I thought I'd die from the pain. It blew up in my stomach and I was sure my stomach was going to explode. NO MORE PANCAKES. EVER.

Chili doesn't sit well either.

I sound a lot like you. I used to love rice and I just can't eat much of it or when I do I just get that bloated feeling and it dosen't satifsy my nutritional needs. Fries, heavy gravies, bread is just too much. It just gives me a feeling. Any fast food burger is absolutely disgusting to me. A bite of one made me ill once...and there was no "license to" in the equation. High sugar items I can tolerate in very small doses but too much and it just f's up everything! I also used to love me some hard pretzels but don't do anything like that now.
