100 grams of protein?

Any thoughts on this?  I am not trying to get 100 grams of protein but thats what I get.  I get about 1200-1400 cals (which I am fine with).  I dont drink any protein shakes.

Any thoughts?  I am sort of conditioned to eat alot of protein, and it keeps me full longer.

When I first saw your surgery date---I thought you were 3 days post-op and my jaw dropped!  A year is a biiiiiig difference :)
Have you always been able to get that much in?  I struggle with my minimum but I'm only a month out.

LOL I got 0 grams of protein the first week.

No, I struggled for a good long time.  Never been a protein drink fan so I got mine from food as soon as I was cleared for soft solids I believe.  I thin****il 3 months I was lucky to get 40.  Then 3-7 months I was getting 40-70, then 7-10 months got about 60-80. .  The past couple months I have been able to eat more by about an ounce at a time.  I still tend to measure my food though.  I might start adding more veggies though.  I dont know.  Its always something.  I just wonder if there is a problem getting 100 grams?

I think it might be time to change the way I eat and add more variety in my food.  For example, I will make a meal out of meat only 2 or 3 times a day.  I might not need to do that now I guess.

hey emeraldcoast...i just noticed you and i had our surgery on same days i had sleeve i had md appt today and have lost 31 lbs...but i dont feel too good... probably last week to week and half i have had trouble getting 70 grams protein in and can't get fluids in.... feel weak and nauseated... the protein shakes make me so sick...can't stand the sweet taste can eat like 3 small shimp for a meal and i'm stuffed or tbsp of tuna salad...no room for veggies...but md says no worry...so i have gone back to isopure for protein drink and have ordered unjury chicken broth?...just looking for anything not so sweet...md says my weakness and nausea is all because low protein and fluids.....are you having any of these feelings?

Missy, how do you mange to get so much in?  I still can only eat about 3 ounces maximum at one time.  What's your secret.  I would love to get that much in since I'm in to bodybuilding and frankly, it's tough.  I have to rely on at least 1 shake a day and still don't get that much.  Do tell please.

I cant eat over 3 ounces of solid protein.  But I used to not eat more then 2 ounces.  3 tends to be pushing it.  I can eat about 5 ounces of soup or really wet food.

I eat 5-6 times a day to keep my metabolism going.  When i get home I will write out a list of my meals if you like.  I also drink about 2 cups of  skim milk a day.  It helps alot with snacking and when I started I lost alot of weight right off the bat.  Not sure if it is helping now.  But it really helps with PMS

I'd appreciate it if you would.  I suppose I could add some Mootopia milk in.  That would give me 12gms more.  I can eat more of softer things too but dense protein like I said...only 3 ounces.  Let me know your list.  Thanks dear.

I've never hear of Mootopia milk? What is it? Do you like the taste? Where do you get it?

Well, if you live in Texas and have access to HEB grocery stores, they sell a lcatose free milk called Mootopia.  It has 12 grams of protein per 8ounces and only 6 grams of carbs.  That's all I've used since surgery because of the high protein count.

So I am confused.. Why is it a problem you get in 100 grams of protein? I try to shoot for 80-100.

HW:260+ SW: 248 Pre-Preg 180 Post-Preg Starting Wt: 225 Current PP wt: 195 GW: 170ish.
