Anyone tried the pita chips? I bought some hummus and would love to try some pita chips. I am afraid that if I like them too much, I will eat way too many.

I've been eating the Stacy's skinny pita chips for at least 6 months. I make a low fat version of spinach/artichoke dip with Greek yogurt and no fat cream cheese, and I use them for that dip, and several other dips I make from scratch. I also put various pizza type toppings and roasted red peppers, sun dried tomatoes with a little bit of pesto sauce and shredded cheese, stick them under the broiler just until the cheese is melty.

I didn't look to see how far out you are, but I can only eat about 6-7 of them and I'll be 11 months out next week.

Hey cutie girl!! Mind posting that recipe you were talking about the:  I make a low fat version of spinach/artichoke dip ?? Would totally love to have it! I love BOTH spinach and artichoke! Though no one else in my family does! hehe

Thanks for the info on the bagels as well. Can't wait to read your post on  how the pizzas turn out and if your son likes them!!

*big hugs*

See, I do get restriction on carbs but not those things!  They are my crack.  I can eat a whole bag and want more...this is from someone who gets restriction on ice cream!  I avoid them like the plague.  Esp the cinnimon ones

That is what scares me about snack food like that. Once I get into a trigger mode, I;m done!

Missy, I'm so glad you said that! I'm in the same boat and I thought I was a freak! I have no restriction with candy, chips, and crackers. I seriously have to avoid them. Today I managed to eat SIX twizzlers pull n peel - ya know, the big ones? Scary! Sometimes when I'm eating crap like that I momentarily wonder if I've managed to "break" my sleeve. Then I eat a piece of chicken (or two ounces of top sirloin, which I had for dinner tonight) and sigh with relief.  But I totally have restriction with ice cream - even milkshakes!! And with pasta, bread, rice, etc (thank GOD!)

I need to get my **** together and stop eating crap - I know I'll have to pay the piper SOON if I don't.

Oh, and on the original topic - I freakin love those bagel thins. They rock my world. They were on amazing sale at QFC a few weeks ago and I got a rain check for ten packages, lol! I don't like the sandwich thins much because I just don't like whole wheat bread (multigrain, yes, whole wheat, no).

I have used those sandwich thins.  I also use 1/2 at a time and it shakes meal time up.  I pull them apart then freeze them cause it takes me a couple weeks or more to eat a package.

I agree with you on both the Bagel Thins and Sandwich Thins.  My only peeve is I can barely eat 1/2 of one, and it better be lightly spread with something or I'm toast, LOL.

I've tried the bagel thins as well (I think I used the Sara Lee brand).  Bagels were not my favorite before surgery, but like you said, they don't taste real bagely.  1/2 toasted with some low fat cream cheese is a great breakfast for me.
