Bony Butt Anyone?

OK, so I'm super happy that I've lost 60 lbs, but now I'm almost 160 and my bum has gotten so bony that it's super uncomfortable to sit down now.   I just don't get it I've weighed way less than this many times and I don't remember having this problem.  My goal was 125, but I don't know if my bum could handle it.  The weirdest part is that I carry most of my weight in my bum and legs, so how can I not have enough padding?  For all those vets out there, will my fat eventually redistribute?  I work out 6 days per week and do a lot of lunges and squats, but I don't do a lot of weight lifting yet.  Should I concentrate more on lifting to build up my glutes?  Help, I don't want to have to carry a granny pillow around for my bony butt.

oh no!!  I was so hoping it got better.  But I guess everything is give and take.  I guess I would still choose to hopefully get into size 6 jeans even if it means a little tush discomfort.  Thanks for your reply!   BTW, congratulations on making goal!!!!!  I'm so proud of you.  You've worked so hard and really deserve it.  I can't wait to reach goal.

Mine has not gotten any better, and I have a chronically inflamed tailbone. I'm looking into getting one of the ****yx pillows for driving. I have to rotate cheeks when I sit for too long.

Nothing has "redistributed" like I had hoped for, I've done bajillions of squats, lunges and other butt exercises, and nothing has helped.

VSG on 10/09/09 with

I hear you about the butt thing but....my problem is when I'm sleeping. Sometimes I wake up because I'm not used to my bone****ting the mattress. It's a weird feeling and it can get a bit uncomfortable. I have to reposition myself to get comfortable.

Needless to say, I am not complaining. I love having such problems instead of the flip side for sure.

GRANNY PILLOW, oh lord is that what this is called!!  I had no idea....

I thought I was being sooooo cleaver.  I have a small ThermaRest pillow.  It looks something like this one:  http://www.mec.ca/Products/product_detail.jsp?PRODUCT%3C%3Eprd_id=845524442507429&FOLDER%3C%3Efolder_id=2534374302701547&bmUID=1277971887120

I am sitting on it now, on the couch.
I sit on it when we sit on our plastic chairs on the deck, to have meals
I bring it when we go in the boat
I bring it when we are going to meetings
I bring it to restaurants
I take it on the bus

Granny pillow!?!  hmmfff....

I have no choice, I have such a bony butt now and can't sit well without it...

I have always had a big butt and thighs, not so anymore...

Good luck with that!  I'll take my bony butt over my old lard arse anyday!

My skinny husband used to complain all the time about 'uncomfortable' seats and I was always thinking 'Oh for goodness sake!" but now I understand!! I have bones in places that I didn't know existed! In fact I don't think I even knew I had an 'ass' bone before ... lol!

Hi Girly :)
I have found building up butt muscles has helped some.  Not as cushy as having a totally big butt, but really much less painful.
