I know I'm 6 days post op and they recommend chicken broth but can I have Lipton soup(in red box) w or w/out noodles?? The noodles are small but I wouldn't mind just eating the broth I was just wondering

You can prepare the soup and filter out the noodles having just the broth.

I did this during my liquid phase. I also bought Miso Soup and Wonton soup (without the Wonton) since they're mostly broth. A favorite restaurant of mine make a great beef soup which I bought and only had the broth. I would replace the broth I ate with low sodium canned broth which when reheated with the other ingredients on the soup tasted amazing. Eventually the beef in the soup was really soft and I fed it to my dogs who loved it.

Good luck,
George

I agree with George but wanted to add I would do the low sodium one. Our bodies doesn't need all that sodium and basically they taste the same. I loved the broth from the Weigh****cher Can soups have you tryed those yet?

Hi Johanna,

My post op plan was 10 days clear, 10 days full, 10 days mushy and I second the above posters.....having some War Won Ton broth and Lipton broth helped give the restaurant feel when on such a stringent 30 days.  Helps you not feel so deprived.

Happy newly sleeved month to you.

The packets of soup mix from Ramen noodles are also good and they come in all kinds of different flavours.

I have been putting a can of campbells chicken noodle soup & a scoop of unflavored protein powder in the blender. It's really satisfying on my newly sleeved stomach & goes down nicely.

Make the soup, add more water to cut the sodium... and strain the noodles... if you have a dog or children, give them the noodles...
The progresso soups are expensive, unless you have a grocery outlet... sometimes they have them.
