Did the Doctor weigh you with clothes on?
The surgeon's office has a fancy scale that you have to weigh with shoes and socks off.
I had to request to have my height taken. At 54 years old, I was fairly sure I had shrunk from the last time my height was taken.....like in high school ! I was correct. By an inch. Both of my parents had lost height. My mom was always taller than I at 5'5" but in the years before she died, I recalled that I was "catching up" to her height. My dad now is 85, and has shrunk about 5".

If I weigh myself first thing in the morning with no clothes, I don't QUITE meet a BMI of 35. So for my consult I bulked up on liquids, wore more layers than usual and left my shoes on for the weigh-in. They took two pounds off for clothes, so it's probably good I did that. I had them assure me they wouldn't kick me out of the operating room if I showed up with a BMI under 35.
All the same, I'm trying not to lose weight for right now just in case I have to go to another doc for self-pay and they use my current weight. Still waiting on my appeal!

"Did the Doctor weigh you with clothes on?"
My doctor always had clothes on every time I saw him...bwaaaahahaha!

I had clothes on, shoes off. Eat and drink a lot because most doctors use that initial weight for obtaining authorization. Good Luck!
