I was allowed avacados on the soft food stage so at 3 weeks. In fact, I would make really smooth guacamole to eat with my refried beans.

I wasn't told one way or another during my mushy stage but I ate about 3 small bites from a ****tail spoon when I started. It went down like silk and it felt so satisfying. They are calorically dense but just a sliver on your beans or something like that won't hurt much. Best of luck.

I was cleared for avacado on mushies stage. As far as ground beef, at 4 weeks out I still can't eat it. I have no problem with chicken, but ground beef hurts my tummy. I might wait a while for the meatballs and meatloaf.

I lurve avocados, and often use some, mashed up, instead of mayo when I make tuna, crab, or chicken salad. Yummo! Avocado was one of my first mushies when I was 2 weeks post op.

Luuuvvvvs me some avocado!  I went through a stage where all I wanted for about 3 weeks was half an avocado with a quarter cup of cottage cheese in it.  Mmmmm... like Mary said though, be sure to keep the calories in mind, and although you won't be able to eat much of it now, it'll be a slider later on!  But sooo dang yummy.

You can have them now!

I eat Avocados (Florida and Hass) regularly. They're delicious and good for you.

I was cleared for ground beef at 3 weeks and yes, meatballs and meatloaf are fine.  You're going to want to make them moist just so that they go down easy.  For mini-meatloaf, I highly recommend eggface's Italian Artichoke Mini-meatloaf.  Her recipes call for ground turkey, but I used ground beef.  Very moist and very tasty!
