I officially love Red Robin

Went out to dinner and a movie with a friend tonight. I chose Red Robin because I knew there were plenty of things on the menu I could eat. They make some really great burgers and sandwiches. So I order and the waitress doesn't even bat an eyelash at my special requests. I ordered a burger with no bun and asked if I could maybe substitute fruit for the fries. She immediately starts naming off three different things I could substitute, no question. No hassle, it came out right the first time, too. She didn't even try to force water on me (or act confused) when I said I didn't want anything to drink.

 Yum!

I just hate eating at places that make you feel like you're being unreasonable when you make a special request (or two).

Good for you - and her. As a former waitress I must say that it really takes a special person not to be "put out" by a bunch of special requests. Not as a judgment, but it's harder - more work. Great for you for staying on plan, and great for her for taking great care of a customer!

I still had a gift certificate to use from Red Robin so I went about a week ago. I had the exact same experience - I even asked for a to go container before I started eating and the waiter brought it no questions asked. I haven't gone out to eat often, probably 3 or 4 times so far since November but Red Robin definately was the most accommodating.

One of my favorites too! Theyre great on customer service, never gives us problems with the kids sharing meals or me sharing with the kids. They even gave to go cups for the kids and a fresh water for me when they heard we were from out of town. I able to have my water 30 min after :D

Can I ask you something as a newbie who thinks this surgery is THEE way for me? Why no water?? Is it because this surgery is like the RNY in that you can't eat and drink at the same time?

Thanks!

Judy

Judy, you are correct. No eating and drinking at the same time.
