Up a pound now another.... WHAT TO DO???
When I hit my stall at three weeks, I stepped on the scale every day and was ready to fall on my sword because the scale either stayed the same, or went down 1 lb and sometimes UP a pound or two - FOR FOUR WEEKS!
I finally decided that I can't torture myself and took myself off the scale. The stall broke and for the past three weeks I've been losing well, but will no longer put myself through that torture. It isn't worth my sanity to see that I've had a good loss one day, only to get back on the scale the next day to see I've gained a pound back. Now, every 7-10 days is when I weigh, and its more gratifying because I see the loss that way...that is, till another stall knocks me down.
also remember as our fat cells empty, the body does not like it so fulls them up with water, when it realises it really dosesnt need the water it releases it and then youll see another downward trend.
I think the scale can be a good thing but not if you let it control your moods, maybe you can weight daily but take log it on a graph and see what the trend is over a week or two or a month even.
Then you will get a better idea of how your body is going to lose.

I totally understand as I weigh every day too. My scale goes by the tenth of a pound and that helps cause I've been like 203.8 and then the next day 204 so I can see thats it a super minor change not even a half a pound. I've been lucky to only havve had it happen once around my cycle but I really am only taking in nuts (maybe 10 almonds a day) and a stick of string cheese as carbs. Other than the 3 in my shake so maybe thats why so far it hasnt been an issue. I know though from years of dieting how frusterating that is and I know at some point Ill be right there with you. I have always used the scale to help encourage me to eat better when my weight goes up I increase water and decrease my calorie intake as well as carbs and always see a drop in two days (but that was pre -op) Sorry I'm not much help... but I understand and I am thinking of you.

at 4 months out im still a scale junkie, but i only think its good if you know how to handle.. you will go up and you will go down.. like other says you can gain 3 pounds in 1 day alone.. just relax.. it will start going back down your body is in overdrive and doing 50 million things to keep up with your new ways..
This is why I don't have a scale in my house. I haven't had one for many years. I weigh in at the doc's office. I didn't want the scale deciding whether I'd be happy or sad, on program or off. I just stick with the program and go about my business. My clothes tell me that I'm losing weight; the fact that I'm off all prescription meds tell me that I'm losing weight; my increased energy level and ability to exercise tells me that I'm losing weight. And even if I'm in a stall or plateau, I don't know about it and I still feel 100% better than I did before the surgery.
I'm not suggesting you have to be as extreme as me, but you have to stop letting the numbers on the scale control you. Pick a day of the week or a day of the month to weigh in and stick to it. Put the scale away for the rest of the time.
