10 month surgiversary, yahoo!!
Wow, its so hard to believe but i'm 10 months post op today. yeah for me!!! The time pre op dragged by but post op time has flown. So no picturers, you'll just have to take my word for it, i do look good. I'm a little technically challened when it comes to pictures so Jen has promised to take pictures at the San Jose meet and greet and put them on here for me. So i promise before my one year on 5/28 i will dazzle you with my transformation. lol I have to say i feel better than i have in over 20 yrs, maybe longer. I wanted to lose about 90lbs and so far have lost 74ish. I have never been as good as i guess we are supposed to be. I have done this journey as i want my life to go. Others will tell you to be really good now and lose the most you can then worry about maintaining it. I have always been a rebel at heart and sometimes make my life harder than it needs to be. But I'm so happy with myself right now. So even though its slower than some others its working fine for me. I've had a couple of stalls that lasted 2 months but again, i'm not as good as most of you are. I struggle with head hunger pretty regularly and i usually have some no-no foods. But i plan on eating healthy and enjoying life and that is where i am at right now. Loving life and loving my sleeve. I was in such bad shape, could hardly walk, was on so many meds, in so much pain. ALL RESOLVED, no more meds for me, only supplements. I thank God every day for this gift and anyone still on the fence. Do it for yourself and your loved ones and for a brighter future. So that's my story and i'm sticking to it. A special thank you to all my wonderful supportive friends on here, you all mean so much to you and i couldn't have done this without you :o) love you guys Jeani

I am so happy for you. You have done very well with your sleeve you rebel you. :) Do it anyway that works for you, in the end that is what all of us do. You are getting your much earned reward of loving life and living with moderation. Good for you. It couldn't happen to a nicer person. I am so glad that you are on these boards, you always brighten people's day. Thank you for your positive energy.
Thanks Elina, i appreciate that. I just love this site and my journey would have been so much harder without all the love and support from my friends here. I love that i was given this gift and i love sharing it with everyone, its great that even though we are all different we can all get where we need to be. :o) Jeani
Congrats Ms Jeani,
I enjoy reading your encouraging posts, even though I've been in a lurking mode, lol! Truly it is a joy to be able to read positive thoughts on this forum. You guys have really helped me alot. I haven't really told any family members or friends, due to the negative comments I received from just mentioning my research on WLS. I got all kinds of krazy responses, and I'm sure you know the drill-gurl you can go on a diet and lose the weight, ugh, exercise more, and the list goes on, lol! I will be having my surgery this week and will be doing it along, no family in the area. So keep me uplifted as I begin this journey with a smile, looking forward to giving myself present for success as I become a loser who will be enjoying life again without pain. I do have a NSV to share with the forum, I have been walking 2 to 3 miles a day for 5 days a week for this entire more with a time of no more than 45 mins. Yeah me! Anywho, can't wait to see your pictures! Have fun at the social, looking forward to meeting you one day!

Doing my happy dance with my soon to be happy feet, lol!
