So Tired from Protein Diet!!
Hey - we have the same surgery day!!!!
I've been on the liquid diet since last Friday and for the most part do ok. But, tonight my hubby cooked hamburgers outside and those sure smell good.
I knew I had to do this going into it, and have been good so far. My only transgression has been the caffine ~ I do love my coffee in the AM.
Good luck - you will make it! Just remember, less than a wee****il your surgery!!!

I know what you mean! The weight loss helps and there are only a few more days left until surgery. It's almost here. We are getting our bodies ready for this. Think positive. Try thinking of all the reasons why your doing this. That blah feeling is just temporary. See you on the losers bench.

Surgery Date: April 6, 2011
Wt at surgery was 232
I don't totally understand the liquid diet... I know it is supposed to shrink the liver, but low carb and weight loss will generally do the same...
I know every surgeon does things thier own way but I am SO glad that mine dosen't require that! He does require a 10% loss of excess weight... for me it came down to 16lbs. They won't operate until you can do it :-)
I specifically asked about the liquid pre op and he said he feels that takes accountability and ownership of the weightloss away from the patient and runs them down right before surgery...
(((hugs))) I bet it is HARD but it will all be worth it I'm sure!!!

You are not alone. I just am totally drained no motivation. I use to get up at 6 in the morning now I am sleeping till 10 or 11 and then I am up at night. I don't know why the sudden change. I am on the same liquid diet as youself. I have been just laying around all day this is the worst day I am on day 3 my surgery is April12th. So I guess things will get better in time. And I am taking my vitamins and supplements as well. I have followed this to the T.
First off, congrats on your surgery date.....it's the same as mine! But I have also noticed that I am SO tired. The difference between myself and most of you all is that I haven't been taking my vitamins. I start and stop, which I know I need to due to the problems not taking them can cause. I can go to bed before 10pm and STILL be tired if I wake up the next day at noon. I really don't understand this at all.
