A little depressed!
I am a little depressed tonite.
Went for my 6 wk. checkup today. 2.8 more lbs. lost, doesn't seem like much with the little bit of food that I eat. I try to walk a little every day. Anyway, I have an H. Pyloric Mass in my stomach. I am having another endoscopy done next month to see what is going on, but my dr. says if it has to come out they may have to go back in and do the gastric bypass because they will have to remove more of my stomach. I am soooo happy with my sleeve and I really don't want the bypass. They thought they may be able to remove it during my first surgery, but it was too far in and they would have had to make my sleeve too small. He says it may just be polyps and they can just remove them, but I just hope it turns out OK. It may just be me, but he sounds a little concerned about this. Did this to get healthy and they just keep finding stuff. Also have found some other problems, so I have to see a OBYN. I'll be glad when all this is over so I can get back to being healthy and I can enjoy my sleeve. But, on the bright side, if I hadn't had this done they may never had found these things. I guess GOD works in mysterious ways. Anyway, Sorry, just venting.

You are right - if they hadn't done this surgery, these problems would still be there but you just may not know about them until they became more problematic. I know that having all of this happen now is very discouraging. Keep thinking positively and soon all the health issues will be behind you and you will start seeing the benefits again. My mantra since the beginning has been one day at a time. I wish you the best of luck.

Hi: I'm a little confused by your statement of "H Pylori Mass". Does your doctor mean that the H Pylori has created an ulcer in the lining of your stomach? H Pylori is a bacterium and can usually be treated with a stomach lining protector. However, if yours has already started to create an ulcer, I can see his concern. I'm pretty sure that it cannot create a "mass", which in medical terms usually indicates tumor (benign or malignant). Curious: Were you tested for H Pylori before your surgery? Also, what symptoms is the H Pylori causing? I am concerned about you ana am praying for your speedy recovery.
Hi skinnymeforever, I guess they really don't know what it is yet. That is why they are doing the endoscopy this month and they are going to measure it and biopsy it. He said if it turns out that it needs to be removed, they may have to go back in and do the gastric bypass and remove more of my stomach. They did know this thing was there before my surgery, and they hoped they could remove it during my first surgery, but that was not possible, but I really don't think they know exactly what it is until they do this 2nd endoscopy by a specialist. I did look up H. Pylori Mass and saw that it was a bacterium, so I don't understand either. And I have had no symtoms, they just found it when they did my first endoscopy. Anyway thanks for your concern, it is what it is, and I just have to hope for the best. Thanks again.
