I know most us of get cold after losing some weight but this is RIDICULOUS!!!

I am camping with my family...and have waited 5 long wintry months for this first weekend away...and I cant even leave my nice and toasty trailer because I am SO FRICKEN COLD it HURTS!

My kids want me to be outside playing with them and I CAN NOT BARE IT!! They want to ride around on the golf cart and despite coats and blankets and gloves I literally want to scream in pain I am SO COLD!

This is just sort of bumming me out...I knew ya'll could understand...Guess Ill put on another layer and have DH throw another log on the fire! Wish me luck...if only my fingers and toes didn't go numb!

Hope everyone is having a wonderful weekend!

BRRRRRR...in PA!

(ps...being cold still beats being fat!)

Hee! Hee! Sorry I don't mean to laugh! My hubby and I go through this all the time in a vehicle. When I was at my heaviest it was always me telling him to turn the heat down in the car cause he was cooking me out! He was always cold. Now? It's me getting him to warm up the car for a 1/2 before I even get into it. Now I'm the one freezing and needing the heat on. He just can't see it when the shoes on the other foot. I think this will change as we get used to not having all the excess skin and weight for warmth. Good luck and god Bless! ~Cheryl

I live in CO so we're windy and cold, but get a lot of sun as well. BUT yes, I get cold all the time, I am freezing inside the house more than out..i usually just try to keep moving around (walking outside or taking the stairs up and down), wear socks or warm slippers, a blazer if i have to.. it gets kinda ridiculous but as you said.. rather be cold than fat !! i used to be hot all the time before though, and used to sleep with a fan on every night even in the winter ! ohh so many adjustments!

I am always cold when I'm following my diet, ie avoiding carbs (sugar, starch, etc) and taking in adequate protein. Also freezing when I'm fasting for bloodwork; someone explain that one to me. : )

Me too!
I usually keep my heating blanket set on 2 or 3, but post WLS I've been cranking it up to 10 and STILL have cold feet. Brrr

Thanks for writing about this, I am 11 days post op and have been freezing my butt off!! I was always the one hot and warm, but now I am always under the covers. I was starting to get worried that something was wrong with me.

You're losing your insulation.  When you start to rebuild muscle, you will see the difference.  It's still taking me time to get used to it because I'm still wearing under armor and sweaters, even though it's warming up.  My heat bill is high as heck this winter, but goodness, it's COLD!!

I know for ME it evened out after the main "losing" part.  Also in the camping stores you can buy those things you can put in your gloves and shoes...
