I look at pics of myself, here on the BEFORE n AFTER WLS pics, and even from you guys.

and its the same! After pics ...the peeps in 200s, high 100s...and they look way more smaller the weight posted.

...my tops are NOW in mostly mediums, pants 12
I was in 12s pants when I was ~50 pounds lighter than my current weight n that was 15 years ago!!
(eta: Im in my 50's!)

I don't understand this optical illusion...do you?

I know this ain't nothin of a topic...just curious if anyone sees what I see, or has experienced the same thing, just don't tell me Im that's been established!lol

I noticed that alot of folks LOOK thin but the weight under the pic says "250" or something that does not fit the pic.

From my days at the gym working on personal training I was told that as you get older (for example from 15 to 25) you may pack on alot more muscle. So when people want to get to their highschool weight it can be nearly impossible because they may have a higher lean body mass (skin, muscle, bone). That is probably why you are in the same size today but are 50lbs heavier.

Yup, I agree with above.

As far as sizing, they have DEFINITELY changed over the years. I have 15's and 17's from about 10 years ago... they are the same size (when layed on top) of my newer size 12's.

I wore a 6/7 in high school (1990-93)... what would that equate to today, I wonder? Not to hijack, but wondering if I got to the same weight what size I would be? Hmmmmm......

Part of it is muscle (great high protein diets help with that) because it is denser and part of it is because of denser bones from carrying around extra weight for years.

Exactly......I am smaller now....."size" wise than 20 years ago when I was at this weight!    I take up less "space"  now cause I am more "dense" (in more ways than one!)  Carrying around almost 600lbs....builds bone density and muscle.(especially in the  legs)  I used to joke..... "I look like 'The Rock' under all this fat!"

Lol! I use to say that I have to have all this fat to keep my beautifully sculpted body protected... wouldn't want to hurt any of it!!

My claves are the one part of my body that I'm pretty sure is not in danger of saggy skin.. Even at 356 those suckers were and are pretty defined!! Kind of have man legs... but I think I can deal with it!!
