Shmall Bladder Update
Hi Loves:
Okay~ heres the skinny (pun intended):
They are taking my gall bladder out next Wednesday. I will be 1 month post op from my sleeve... kinda freaks me out to have surgery again so soon, but what do I know? And he said, the symptoms are to the point that it's really the only option.
They put me on percocet to get through this week... I like it. LOL
So! Thats the plan.
Thanks for the support and prayers.
Peace and Love.

So sorry to hear that you are going through this. At 3 months post op I too had to have my GB out. It was a totally unexpected thing. Never had any GB issues before, had the worse pain , ended up in the ER and they admitted me and took it out. The pain was much less than the sleeve and recovery was much easier. The only thing was that I was alot more tired and I think it was from having 2 surgeries so close together..so expect that ...and take those naps. Hopefully you are having a few weeks off of work. I took another 3 weeks after my GB and I was glad that I did..I was really tired. I have never had a GB pain since so hopefully you will feel alot better. Good luck to you and wishing you a smooth recovery.

My gb removal at 8 months post-VSG was the easiest surgery I had endured, and I had 4 in a 16 month period. I was sipping grape juice and eating teddy graham crackers upon discharge.
I refused the Actigall because of some liver contraindications with that drug. Some WLS patients never have GB issues, others do.
I did have to adjust my diet after gb removal. I couldn't tolerate fat in dressing, sauces, gravies, no tomato based sauces, nuts, avocados and peanut butter was out for a couple of months while my body adjusted. I was just getting into maintenance so my diet was definitely different than it was early out.
Best wishes and fingers crossed for a speedy recovery.
