Anyone eating LAMB for protein??

I haven't tried lamb yet, but technically it is a red meat and I'm not supposed to have red meat for the first 6 months post-op.  I'm not sure when you had your surgery or what your diet recommendations are regarding red meat, but I'm only 3 and a half months out, so I think I'll wait awhile.  Although those meatballs sound delicious, I'd love to get that recipe too! *Giggles*

 
Highest Registered Weight 369 lbs (but I weighed more, just didn't have a scale! *Giggles*)

I have some lamb steaks (is that what they are called?) in the freezer but I have no idea how to cook them. They look just the right size. I was allowed to eat anything after the first 4 weeks and any meat sits fine with me ;)

lamb is awesome. frenched chops with mustard glaze are yummy. there is a recipe for lamb and black bean chili i need to try also. mmmmmmm.

Thanks everyone for the great ideas.

I am only16 day's post op so it will be a while before I can try the Lamb- but I have never been much of a cook and I am trying to get recipes and ideas for when I can start solids ect.

And I do LOVE the tzatzki sauce it is great on about anything!

I  LOVE lamb!  I'm 3 months out and have no problems with it.

LOVE lamb.  I've ordered lamb shank three times at restaurants over the past few months.  Eat a teeny bit, take the rest home and get at least four more meals out of it.  YUM!  I'm going to have to make a lamb shank at home sometime.
