Smart decision.  There will be plenty of time for pizza after you lose your excess weight.  You WILL have pizza again...I promise.

Your not feeling full because your nerves were severed in surgery...you won't feel full until they are more healed.

This helps.  I feel hungry all the time.  I'm going to just stick to my jello and hopes that helps. Thanks!

Sounds like you expected that getting the sleeve would "kill" your cravings.  Fraid not!

Eventually there will probably be nothing you can't eat, but there will likely be things you'll want to limit.  You'll be able to eat pizza, maybe half a slice, maybe just the toppings if you choose to limit your carbs. Or you'll find pizza alternatives such as those from Eggface's blog. Right now, though, for your own health and safety, follow your surgeon's directions TO THE LETTER.  In my experience, cravings for specific things amount to head hunger, as opposed to actual "I'm empty" hunger.  So you need to have a conversation with your head: you don't have to say "no" or "never," only "not right now."  You can do it!

Head hunger was pretty strong for me till about two weeks out - it takes time for the absence of ghrelin to kick in for some.  Don't know why - maybe there's still some left in the body...but it will pass.

Please ask yourself why you had this done in the first place.  Give it a chance to work.  Plus, you WILL hurt yourself, probably severely.  Take a deep breath.  Don't eat pizza - you'll probably really regret it.

When you get a bit further out, you can put some ricotta cheese in a bowl with some pizza sauce drizzled on tip, heat it up and it WILL taste like eating pizza. Go check out The World According to Eggface and she has great food ideas for liquids, purees and mushie foods.

Eat your jello, and remember that one day you will be able to eat some pizza, or make something healthier that tastes like what you remember pizza to taste like !

You are at risk for a lea****il 14 days out.  You should also get to a support group because you need to work on the craving and learn strategies to work through them.

DON'T DO IT!! Think about why you did the surgery in the first place. Healthier choices..right? Stick to your doctor's instructions...so all your hard work won't be in vain. YOU DESERVE THE BEST!!

Don't forget, they operated on your stomach, not your head. Be smart about this. You're the only one who can control whether or not you continue your old ways of eating. Do you REALLY want to eat those carbs now? What happened to "protein first"? It's protein first, for ever. No room for carbs or sugar  if you do your protein first.

Do you remember reading any posts about WLS not being the easy way out? What do you think that meant? Go eat pizza? Don't think so.
