Insurance Question

I have been approved for my consult visit. Called the surgeon's office and the nurse said before I have my consult visit I have to attend a manditory meeting April 28th. My question is this........how long from that first consult until you actully have the surgery. Currently I have the lapband...........that little baby will finally come out...thank you God!! I am asking because I teach and I am off the summer months. Thanks!!

VSG on 05/28/10

My first visit with the surgeon was on 1/4 and then i was denied and had to appeal and i had surgery on 5/28 so 5 months for me until surgery. good luck :o) Jeani

I started my journey in Sept. and my surgery is April 27....

My husband and I went to the Informational meeting in November 2010. My consult appointment was December 1, 2010. My surgery is April 12, 2011. My insurance approved on the first request.
