Is there anything you mix with it for a different taste?  I have never been a yogurt fan but I am really going to attempt to eat this after surgery.

I love greek yogurt. Its my new favorite. The texture is thicker, similar to sour cream. I recommend Chobani and YoGreek brands. Delicious and protein packed!

Oh and I forgot to mention, it also tastes great when you mix in Granola. (Flavored or not).

 I love yoghurt

i'm about 2 weeks out and here is what i am doing

because i am SO F-ING OVER protein shakes
i'm taking plain greek yogurt (NONFAT)
and mixing my protein powder into to

that way I get double doses of protein and I flavor the yoghurt in the process

then i'm just sipping water 24/7

It tastes closer to cream cheese or sour cream than regular yogurt and is much thicker than either yogurt or sour cream.

My dietitian only allows the 0 fat version - check the labels. The 0 fat kind comes in a few fruit flavours in single servings and a choice of strawberry, blueberry or vanilla in 500 ml tubs as well as plain.

I like to add herbs to the plain version - tastes like a baked potato without the potato. I have a lot of different herb blends in my spice drawer and love to experiment. I also like it with sweetener and a bit of instant coffee mixed in. A bit off cocoa as well would give you a nice mocha - and there are all those sugar free syrups to explore! Yum.

I love - LOVE plain greek yogurt mixed with vanilla protien powder, then smoothed out just a little with non-fat milk.  Then add flavors of SF syrup if you want.  DEELISH.   Sounds disgusting, but I love it.

You can mix just about anything you can think of into it from savory to sweet. I would avoid the flavored greek yogurts with the fruit because they're absolutely packed with sugar but I mix in smuckers no sugar added preserves sometimes and I freeze cubes of greek yogurt in ice cube trays and drop two into my blender with my protein shakes for an extra boost (thanks to bariatricfoodie.com for that great idea).

I also substitute greek yogurt for any recipe that calls for sour cream. It's better for you and you still have the tart flavor. When I was on mushies, I used it in my refried beans instead of sour cream and in my chili instead of sour cream. I make dips for my chicken using various seasonings (try italian or ranch dressing powdered mixes) and I get these steak strips and mix a little steak sauce with greek yogurt for dipping (I have a hard time with meat if it's too dry).

It's really versatile.
