I've been making protein ice cream from Shelley's site (theworldaccordingtoeggface.com), but I got thinking today that it would be creamier and richer if I made a custard base before mixing in the protein powder. Any thoughts? Anyone tried this?
I've tweaked several of hers. I tried one of the cheesecake recipes with whipped cream cheese and it did make the ice cream creamier. Let us know how a custard base turns out! I'm keeping my ice cream maker busy!
