  I bet you are wondering what SMET is.    Well smet is short for SO MUCH EASIER TO........
Since we have had our WLS we need to sometimes focus on how much easier it is to do things that "normal" people take for granted.    Here are some of my SMET items....feel free to share yours.

SInce my WLS it is SMET.......
Tie my shoes,
Get in and out of the car,
Walk and climb stairs,
Fit into a pubic restroom stall,
Buy clothing,
Fit into a booth at a restaurant,
Exercise,
Get up off furniture,

Pretty much about everything, but the first things that come to mind are :

sitting in chairs (even the skinny ones don't scare me anymore)
bathroom stalls (I don't gravitate to the handicap ones anymore)
walking in general
painting my toenails
putting on shoes
buying shoes (I can wear regular shoes, no more wides!)
riding my bike (the seat doesn't go up my tushy as much too)

and most recently I have noticed that it is much easier to do yard work which I am so excited about because I have alot of yard work to do! Yesterday I was out there for hours raking and picking up sticks and I loved it! Never got tired or winded or felt like everytime I bent over the blood was rushing to my head!!

I am barely three weeks out and already it's SMET to do friggin' everything!!!!

SInce my WLS it is SMET.......
Ride a horse
Paint toes
Get dressed
Excercise
Shave my legs
Feel comfortable around strangers since I'm not worried about them judging my weight.

Not be afraid of booths at restaurants
Tie my shoes without cutting off my breathing
Move quickly to grab my ringing phone across the room
Go shopping without having to stop for breaks

eat normal portions
exercise
run after my little ones
buy cute clothes
fit everywhere
keep my house spotless

Now for the SMHT So much harder to....
sit on my bony butt
shave my armpits its like shaving a bowl
understand scrawny as a compliment
except any compliments without thinking ppl aren't being sincere
deal with my saggy skin on my arms and legs
keep my damn hair in my head

 -clip toe nails
- tie my shoe laces
- get in and out of the car
- fit in small restroom stalls (the door and the belly)
