Im very nervous.  I have so many fears but also so much hope that this is what I need to be successful.

There is so much going through my head.  I hope I have made the right decision!  Thank you to everyone who has been supportive and answered all my questions!

Being nervous is completly normal.   You have a great surgeon and will have a nice small sleeve.   You will be so glad you did this i'm sure.   Just remember to walk right away,  sip, rest and repeat.  Be very good to yourself this first month.   Can't wait to hear how well it all goes  :o) jeani

It's normal to be nervous.  I've only heard good things about Dr. Aceves and his "operation" down there.  You're in good hands.

Best wishes for a smooth surgery and recovery!

Ditto what Jeani said -- sip, walk, rest, repeat!  Take it easy for a few weeks and work hard to get your fluids and protein in.  Follow the doctor's orders!!

Very exciting journey you're about to start!

Yay! So glad you made it safe and sound. I read your recent post about worrying about the flight so I know you are glad to have one leg of that behind you! One of the biggest things I was hoping to get out of surgery was to fit into plane seats better. I flew recently and I'm already seeing a big difference.

I was scared before my surgery too, I think that is pretty natural. I think you have made a great decision and I hope all goes well with your surgery and you have a smooth recovery.

Keep us updated!!

Every seat on the flight was booked.  The lady that took my boarding pass asked me if I would be comfortable in 1 seat b/c it was a full flight.  But I sat closest to the window and my mom sat next to me and it was actually OK.  She wasn't even squished.  Lucky for her a skinny person sat next to her on the other side!  lol

How long did you have to wait to shower?  Until after the drain came out?  I think there are 3 of us tomorrow but since I am the one from the furthest east Yolanda thought he may take me first.

No, I showered as soon as my IV came out- the drain just kinda hangs there.. not a biggie. It felt GREAT to get clean again!
