Seven weeks our of surgery.... are you back to work?  You are already down 31lbs?  You must feel amazing?  How are you doing with the food stages?

My daughter still doesn't know that I am fat and I want to get this weight off before she realizes..... my uncle and cousin aren't the same colour as myself, my Aunty looks different and uses chopsticks instead of a knife and fork, my new brother/sister doesn't look like me and my Mummy is gigantic....

So I guess that is that...

My surgery is May 4th and I am going to make it or be pissed off :)

I posted a thread almost identical to this before my surgery.  I think this crosses all of our minds.  I have 5 kids, the youngest at the time of surgery was 8 weeks old.  I was terrified to leave my children without their mother.  I went ahead and am doing wonderful.  I had NO pain whatsoever from the surgery and am enjoying having a ton of energy already to play with them.  You'll do great!!  Keep us posted!

That sounds like a dream come true.  I am so happy for you and hope I am doing just as well in a month!

You say your mum wants you to "try harder"  well... this isn't the easy way.  Keep that in mind. This IS HARD!!!

I love that I did it.  I am a success at weight loss for the first time in my life.  You will love it too.

But keep in mind it will take you a few months to figure that out.

Also, as I watch this board for post, I think that those people who eat as a hobby or have a life that is centered around eating have the hardest time with this.

I do wish you peace.  I hope you do this with determination that it is the right thing.

I didn't worry about dying from the surgery at all; I was too busy worrying about dying from complications from being FAT which most likely would have happened for sure sooner or later. And if not, my back and feet had already gotton so bad it was ridiculous, and I was huffing and puffing horribly any time I did anything strenuous--and I love to be active. I'm just now at 5 weeks and already feel TONS better, and can't wait to improveevn more.
