Sleeved and .....'hoteled'

My procedure was done outpatient, and I'm staying in a hotel in order to be able to return to surgeon's office in the morning (I live a ferry-ride away).  I had rather high pain post op, so they kept giving me pain meds and I didn't wake up until 1.5 hours after the surgery.  I had a hiatal hernia that they had to repair, so I'm having pain in my shoulders and chest when I take deep breaths...but I'm doing it anyhow!  Also walking halls pretty frequently, starting to feel pretty good.  Thank you for all the support on these boards.  I wouldn't have been able to enter this surgery with the same confidence without you all!  Make room on the bench for me!
Happily,
Jenny

Happy for you and glad the surgery is behind you.  Sounds like you live in the Seattle area with the ferry-ride and all.  One of my most favorite places to visit.   Keep walking, sipping and rest as much as you can,  it will help you get better faster.
This is such a great support system here on OH.  So many people who can answer,  all the good, bad and the ugly we all want to know.
Scoochin over on the bench..........,  there is always room for more.

Congratulations,  i'm so happy for you. Wow,  i can't imagine doing it outpatient.   But really,  other than the walking its all kind of a blur now  lol   just be really good to yourself and give yourself time to heal.  Walking is the best thing you can do for yourself and by one month out you'll be an old sleeve pro.  The nice thing about the bench is we all keep losing weight and there's always room for more friends to sit with us.   Hang on tight and enjoy the ride,  its one hellofa   :o) jeani
