Scale finally moved....one half pound... (!!!!)

OK.  I'm under stress.  Almost unemployed, applying and interviewing for jobs, AND having a weight loss stall all in the same week.....grrrrr.

I haven't been unemployed for many many years, and this routine is .......difficult. Things have changed so much.  Internet listings, on-line application forms, resumes sent via e-mail.  Last time I sent out resumes I was amazed at being able to use a fax machine !!!  Man o' Man....technology has changed everything, and you don't realize it until you are standing knee deep in the stuff.

So, I've been stuck at 223 for a week.  And what is making me crazy is that my FIRST BIG MINI GOAL is to be 222 -- which will put my BMI at under 40 -- 39.9 !!  I started this journey with weighing 300 pounds, before my 3 month class and diet; and my BMI was almost 53.  I managed to get my BMI down to 49 right before my surgery.  And that 222 mark has me going from "extreemly morbidly obese", to "morbid obesity" down to just plain old "obese" !!!!!

Oh, I know it's just a number....but for me, an important one !   And stalling out at one pound over that number is sooooo frustrating.

Let's hear it for that half pound !!!!! (CHEER)

Hiya Andi, long time no talk. Sorry to hear about your employment situation I sure hope all goes well with your job hunt.

I think it was you who posted something about target stalls before and I have to say that it is soooo true that it happens. It's happened to me when getting to onederland and I've seen it over and over again here from people targeting a number and complaining about holding weight just above it. It's so crazy that it happens and frustrating for sure!

The best thing for us to do is to eliminate the number goal and just have NSV goals instead. Look forward to the day you can sit with your legs crossed again  or be able to lean over without having to hold your breath of even be able to squat down and retrieve something from the bottom cupboard shelf and then not have to wonder how youre gonna get back up again ... that happens to me all the time. That isnt going to happen realistically tho because we all fixate on that number but I wonder if we did if the stalls would go away at all? Who's up for a science experiment? lol.

I'm CHEERING for you over here....get that 222 girl!

Why thank you mam   Skinny I dont feel......a lot less incapacitated that's more like it lol. You've lost a considerable amount yourself you must be feeling a lot better physically too.

Hey anytime, I too am unemployed, so just holla when you want to.  I was going to tell you that I finally went to one of our support group meetings and realized that there is no sign-in sheet or anything. There must have been over 50 people, the room was pretty full so you could totally go if you wanted and benefit from the support and hang with us other AV Sleevers    Well, it's food for thought for now, hope you have a great day and great success with your job hunt!

It sucks to be in a stall right before a milestone doesn't it? I just got into the 30's for BMI today myself (started in the 60's!) and have 2 more pounds to go to hit my milestone of 150 lost. I've been stalling/slow losing for weeks now due to a lot of stress in my life too.. so I totally understand.

It's like the universe is out to get you or something.. and you can't even celebrate the hard work you are doing because it's not showing on the scale when you just really want something to go RIGHT for once.. KWIM? I totally understand! Good luck with job hunting!
