I'm five weeks out of surgery, and i can't get past the nausea, can barely drink or eat, any suggestions? Please help if you can. Thanks

Did your surgeon give you nausea meds? I find that I get nausea if I try to get too much food or water in. You could also be dehydrated from NOT getting enough water. I would call the surgeon's office and ask about getting in for a post-op visit.

Your right about dehydrated I am drinking less the 16oz in the last 24hr. No he would not at the time of release. I will call them Mon. Thanks for your help.

My surgeon gave me something to take home and use as needed. I find I get nausea if I take liquids, meds, etc in too quickly. In the hospital I would get nausea if I was fed meds in the IV too quickly. Haven't had as much of a problem at home though, only seldom. I would think your doc would call you something in. Surprised they didn't send you home with anything.
