What a fantastic post - you really are becoming the person on the outside that you always were on the inside - strong, beautiful and brave. Congratulations!

Thanks Margo! You've been one of my early sources of inspiration, your blog was one of the first ones I started reading when I was considering the surgery!

WOW WOW WOW WOW WOW!  Thank you for posting this.  You sound a lot like me.  I'm excited for life.  "Zest"  I own it now.  What anyone else thinks..ps****'s just great living with someone *****ally, really, really likes me (and by that I am, of course, referring to myself!).  Thank you for taking the time to be open and honest.  It's so refreshing to read on here the actual core issues.  This goes so much beyond when you can eat mushies or how much you can expect to lose a month.  It's really about what we gain!!

Wow.......

Thanks for breaking it down like that........

You have put into words how most of us who have lived with obesity feel, and we gradually went down a path of shutdown.....like the walking dead.....

It is very refreshing to read about gratitude and appreciation, instead of *****ing and moaning.

After I had reached my first end goal of 175, I thanked my surgeon for giving me my life back.......he said thanks......but you did it......I only helped.

Congrats !!!

Thank you, Frisco! My surgeon said pretty much the same thing when I pounce-hugged him yesterday. :) I am so excited about all this weight loss and changing body, it's hard to be anything *but* grateful and appreciative! (well, 'cept I can throw a pretty good "I miss diet coke" pout from time to time...)
