New pain... Any ideas?

I have a pain just to the left of my belly button. It's been hurting for about three hours and is getting worse. Not excruciating, but uncomfortable. Anyone else ever feel like this? I'm gonna call doc in a.m., just really at a loss as to what this might be. Did a search and found little. Feels better when I " hold" it. Any ideas? Or should I just shoot myself? Lol!

Sounds like a hernia to me.

I had that pain earlier in the week called the surgeon they said muscle spasm and it could last up to eight week. Told me to use heating pad it helped.

Yeah, but you're still kinda "new", I hope it's a spasm, but feels different than that.

Not to sound too stupid, but what do they do for a hernia if that's what it turns out to be?

when my friend had stomach surgery (not specifically weight loss) but she developed a hernia around the site and some kind of way they went back in pushed whatever it was that was poking out and then covered it with a surgical mesh to "patch" the area .... not sure if this is the case with you but of course it matters where it is, may need a procedure but nothing dramatic though.

Operate and repair it. it may not be that but didn't you say it felt better when you hold it? It could also be gas too. Is it getting any better at all?

It feels better when I push on that specific spot. When I let go, it still hurts. Ugh.

Hope the pain goes away but call your surgeon tomorrow. It really does sound a lot like a hernia.
