Failure at 7 weeks :-(
I have been doing my own preop diet for 7 weeks... I see the surgeon June 1st... surgery in June/July
I have lost over 40 lbs by doing low carb.
I was CRAZY muchie today but made okay choices. I finally caved and just had 2 small pancakes and 3 strawberries! I know from past experience that this is the begining of the end for me!!!
I am planning to have something else too... tomorrow is another day, right???
I have been down this road before... Not Good!

I was going to jump in there and say...Don't beat up on yourself...get back on your plan.....give you praises regarding the 40 pound loss.
Until I got to......I am planning to have something else too...tomorrow is another day, right??
Why are you making a "failure"...YOUR WORDS...worse by planning to go down that road again?
Tomorrow might be another day but tonight is the problem you need to face. Find something to do...eat a protein meal...but don't compound the error.
Just my thoughts.

Please step out of the "all or nothing" rut.
You ate off your self-imposed plan. Don't think you threw in the towel and now have free reign till tomorrow magically cleans the slate and gives you a reset. If you have a plan, and want to stick with it- do damage control now and get back on track. The all or nothing thinking is not a good place for any of us- pre or post surgery! Change your mind so you have the energy to change your actions.. you can do this.

Thanks for the hugs...
I did eat the crackers... but I will do better tomorrow.
The kicker is I am now out of ketosis... now I have to fight my way back :-(
I have a lot of emotional stuff going on right now (recent separation, it's my 4 year olds night with Daddy, he is trying to convince me to reconcile...)
...and I finally caved.
I will do better though!

Hey you should be happy with the 40 lbs lost, and it only takes 3 days to get back into the ketosis stage, I know this from the atkins diet. Use the urine sticks that tell you when you are in that state as an encouragement tool. I failed over and over again and my only problem was not getting right back up and following the menu plan.
