Failure at 7 weeks :-(

Whew! I thought this was gonna be a lot worse. I thought it was gonna be about you eating around the sleeve at 7 weeks post op. If you could do it on willpower alone, you wouldn't need the sleeve. Things are a LOT different on this side.

So this is a good thing!  You know what emotions you are having, and you know what food you turned to.  That is important for long term success.

So, next time you feel those emotions what are you going to do instead?  That will determine if you are a failure or a winner!

See, everyone falls.  It is the people who see what went wrong and make the adjustments so when they fall again the same injuries don't happen.  It sounds to me like you are on the winners side!  You realize what happened, you see what emotions you have and are having and you already know you don't want to do it again.

Who cares what slope it was in the past!  You are now climbing that slope a whopping 40lbs lighter!  This is a different game!  Just wipe the crumbs off, change your jersey and smile in the mirror because you are now playing on a different team that is focused on where you headed rather than where you have been.

You better believe things are a lot easier, and better on this side of the surgery!!!
Not a one of us has any room to criticize you, because we have all been exactly where you are... and that is making some bad choices or we wouldn't be here on the site trying to get to and stay at goal weights.
You have done extremely well with the preop dieting, and are to be congratulated!!!!
You will have a wonderful tool to help you with your choices after your surgery. It will be much easier then to make better choices, although don't think that it will be the last time you ever make a bad one. We all continue to struggle, but the sleeve helps us enough that we can be successful in the longterm, when we may not always be successful making the wisest choice each and every time we put something in our mouths.
Just don't give up. It is so worth it to keep pluggin along and make it work.
Please remember that one of the tools that works the best whether you have had surgery or not, is to log everything you eat. I use Myfitnesspal.com, but the tools on this site are good also. My sister and niece are using this site, and have not had surgery, and they are both doing extremely well with their weight loss. Staying very consistent.
Best of luck with your preop diet.

Wishing you all the best, Carol
count your blessings!!!!   At goal weight.   I am 5 ft 3.

don't beat yourself up!!!!! That is why you, me choose to have the sleeve. I had a food funeral before i had my surgery........................ every time i seen a chik-fila i went and got a piece of cheese cake. Here i am 8 months out and 180 pounds gone forever. And yes I do eat a few of the wheat saltine crackers with my tuna now. Before surgery i would eat the whole sleeve of crackers......................after surgery you will be so amazed at how little food you can actually eat....... you feel like you ate thanksgiving dinner everyday. Keep your chin up................. matter of time you will be on the loser's bench with the rest of us!!!!!!!

Mmmmm, cheesecake. (Just kidding) I'm looking forward to the other side, too. Gosh, if your big violation is some saltines, I've been downright criminal. I haven't even tried to lose weight pre-op. I'm busy trying to give up caffeine and sugar in my coffee and take my vitamins like I'm supposed to. I will do a 7-day liquid diet beforehand, but I'll wait to really kick myself over carbs until afterwards. It's just too frustrating now.
