Thanks for the wonderful recipe idea. I am not sleeved yet, but I am just now starting the 6 mo supervised diet and this will be a healthier choice for me when I have an attack of pizza cravings!

Pizza used to be one of my biggest weaknesses... now I don't even like the it.  Don't know why, but I sure ain't complaining!

But ya know what, gal?  That 1 & 3/4 pieces of pizza didn't make you fat.  Eating the whole thing did.  Don't feel bad for having a bite of something you enjoy.  The goal of this surgery is not to become un-human.  Like other suggested, make your own @ home.  Use the low carb bread and don't be afraid to load it down with all the veggies you like!  Heckuva lot cheaper too.

Current weight: 170 lbs.

Once I reach goal, this cow will be killed & eaten... 2 ounces at a time.

Total includes 56 lbs. lost on 2-month low carb pre-op diet.  Start date 9/13/10.

RNY on 12/27/10 with
I eat what I want but I plan anything I eat into a 1200 calorie day so if I plan on having a slice of pizza, I make sure that I count that pizza.  Since I am still losing, I plan my meals out so I pretty much know when I'm going to eat out which is rare.  Since I had RNY though, many high-fat foods make my stomach feel bad so I stay pretty healthy.  I hope you enjoyed your pizza Pat.  Sounds really good.  I think I'll try and make that recipe the other lady posted this weekend.  Sounds really good and low-calorie....

Wow I have read on here how people won't let themselves eat stuff like pizza. I do understand the trigger thing. But look I have had pizza more than once. But this time I only had one or two bites, before I could eat like three pieces. If I deprive myself of things it makes me want it more. I would rather have one bite and be the one to say ok I am done. Like others have said you will see that the food that use to control you may still have some grip. But it is not the same tight grip. You need to show yourself this new power you have.

Pizza you make yourself with fresh ingredients is SO much tastier than the crappy, greasy bought stuff.  If you really get into it with making your own sauce with your own herbs and fresh cheeses and such - to DIE for.

i agree with you on that. My doctor also mentioned as well as in the classes to get used to No white flour cant wait till im further along and try some wheat  thincrust pizza. I know for myself this whole procedure is looked at as a lifestyle change. The recipes ive read /seen earlier look yummy!
