First and foremost, I'd like to thank all of you who have sent me well wishes and prayers. Please keep the prayers coming. For those of you who sent me PMs, you just don't know how you all made my day. I really appreciate you guys. It's nice to know that I am being thought about and loved!

So today, I had a mental break down. As I drove away from my school today, I just got emotional and started to cry. I had so many "What IF" questions.... I'm sure those who are post op know what kind of questions I was asking myself. And I'm sure the pre ops know what kind of thoughts I've been having all day.

Bottom line: I AM SCARED!

Post ops, I need you now more than ever. Please convince me that I'm doing the right thing! Well, I know I'm doing the right thing, but I could use all of the good advice, well wishes, and encouragement I can get!

My surgery is scheduled for 7:30am, so I've got to be at the hospital by 6:00am which means I've got to get up at 4am!! So I'm headed to bed! Once again, I thank you all for all you've done, for your words and your prayers! See ya'll on the loser's bench!

Believe me! I'm 2 months out and lost almost 40 lbs- the other day I went for an hour on the treadmill... I was barely breaking a sweat. Before surgery you wouldn't have caught me dead in a gym. Also I was able to play basketball with my neices and nephew the other day and a lil tennis with my husband without being winded. This has all been worth it!!! Not to mention all my clothes falling off and down from a 24 to an 18! You can do it girl! It will all work out!

Well, you know I'm rooting for you!! I, too, have already started having these feelings, but as you know......we were headed down a road of destruction to our health and our bodies, so all we can do is pray that we've made the right decision! I always look at things from a spiritual perspective. I feel as if the doors wouldn't be open if God didn't allow them to be. So, go have surgery....DO WELL, and get ready to cheer me on!!! LOL. I'm so happy for you, and I know that you're ready to ROCK your sleeve!!

Hey there Sun & Sleeve sister!

I got my sleeve yesterday and am still in the hosptial, sitting in the chair next to my bed, sipping on lemonade crystal light with the surgery behind me and my new life in front of me.  This will be you on Friday night... you can do it!

Immediately post-op, let them know when you're in pain or feeling nauseous... be clear about it to your caregivers and they will get you comfortable.  Once you're there, rest, rest and more rest. Then sip, then rest.  Then walk, then rest.

I'm 32hrs out from surgery and the worst of it is feeling like I did a gazillion abdominal crunches... it's not as bad as I built it up in my mind to be, and won't be for you either.

Looking forward to seeing you on the loser's bench... scootching down now!

You are finally gonna have your very own sleeve and a wonderful new is just waiting to be set free.  This is the best thing i ever did and you will feel the same way.  What i did the time right before surgery was think of all the things that would change for the better in my life.  My number one concern was health related and all of my health issues are gone.  No more meds,  yahoo!!! If you believe in a higher power put your faith in His hands and He will see you through.   You will be so glad you did this.  I can't wait to hear how well it all went.   Remember to walk, sip, rest and repeat and be very good to yourself this first month.  Make sure you use baby spoons and take your time when you do start eating again,     I'm sure you'll do great,  :o) jeani

You're totally doing the right thing!  It's totally normal to be nervous and scared.  You'll be on here with your NSV's and after pics before you know it telling us how you love your sleeve!

My thoughts and prayers are with you.
