Surprising Things

Hey all,
Seelessofme22 here!!  I got to thinking today about this journey that I've been on.  First, I LOVE my sleeve.  I've gone from my highest weight of 311, to surgery day weight of 296 to today's weight of 241!!   I've gone from a size 3x top to a L/XL top.  I've gone from a size 22 dress to a size 16/18 dress.  I feel so much better and energetic and confident.

BUT...

1. I'm surprised that my donkey (butt) has only gone from a 24 to 20.  I can get into an 18 SOMETIME but I'm consistently wearing 20's.  My top is a lot smaller than my bottom...now, in the black community a big butt is valued but COME ON!!

2. My boobs haven't changed much.  I was soo scared my girls were going to leave me lol  but the cup size has pretty much stayed the same.  I'm probably actually fitting bras now that I used to squeeze into...lol  Some of my bras are too loose around but not the cup size.

3. My shoe size hasn't changed.  I'm still wearing wide width shoes.  My boyfriend says my feet look smaller but again, I'm pretty sure I was squeezing into shoes before that are just fitting better now.

I thank GOD for this surgery but those are just a few things that I thought were surprising.  What about you?  Anything that you thought might have happened didn't or something you didn't expect actually happened?

Oh yeah, I am totally opposite. My top is what is moving slower 1 size down there, but 2 sizes down for bottom. I'll take it though cuz I was certainly unhappy with the previous sizes. LOL

Good Morning,

Be encouraged, you will get out of those size 20's and to the size you are comfortable in.

I haven't been sleeved yet but was just talking to my daughter and I told her that once I lose the weight I hope I don't lose the form of my "Beyonce."  My sister had surgery last June and all of her "Beyonce" has disappeared.  Also for my girls, I told my PCP that once I've lost all my weight I would like to have a breast reduction and lift.  He asked what size and I told him a C-cup so when I turn, they turn with me, unlike these G-Cups I'm carrying around.

I know that's right.  I'm feeling like beyonce right now...but 51 pounds from now, I don't know.  So, I guess I should be thankful that my butt has a long way to go to catch up to my top...lol

Lol @ the C cups turning with you!!

as for bras, my cup size has decreased 2 sizes (DDD to D) but even though that has happened the width has decreased but because of the skin, it hurts to wear a smaller size because it cuts into my skin (even though it measures smaller) so I keep buying bras with smaller cup sizes but the same # width.

I didn't think about it before but i just picked up my wedding rings from having them resized. I dropped from a 9 1/2 to 7 1/2. that was amazing!

shoes: I have dropped 1/2 size

just a few aah has!

I'm a white girl with a big ass and big boobs, and I'm really worried I'm going to end up flat as a board back and front! Good to know that it's possible to mantain your curves even when you're losing.

Yes, it's still possible!  I'm with you...I was hoping not to lose them altogether, but I didn't know they would be so stubborn about getting a little smaller...lol

Yeah I feel you I'm a M/L up top and 1X or 14/16 on the bottom...I always LOVED my big ass so it's sticking around is good with me.
